The Village of Anmore is located in the north‐eastern region of Metro Vancouver, between the branches of the east end of Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm. Anmore was incorporated on December 7th 1987, and is a small semi‐rural residential community with a population of approximately 1,800. Anmore is bordered by the communities of Port Moody to the South and Belcarra to the west. The Buntzen Lake Recreational area is a significant attraction for visitors to the region.
As the village has a relatively small population base and is primarily rural residential in nature, there are limited services within the boundaries of the village. However, neighbouring Port Moody and Coquitlam are in close proximity and offer ample regional services such as shopping and other service industries.
